Join us for the 2025 Environmental Justice and Healthcare Summit, Grounded in Justice, Rooted in Wellness: Reclaiming our Health and Environment, hosted by the North Carolina Black Alliance. This powerful two-day summit will take place Friday, January 17, and Saturday, January 18, at the Rocky Mount Event Center.
The EJH Summit brings together environmental justice and healthcare advocates, leaders, and community members to collaborate on strategies that directly impact OUR communities. This year’s theme emphasizes empowerment, resilience, and reclaiming agency over our health and environment. Through targeted breakout sessions, attendees will gain practical tools and knowledge to strengthen community resilience and prepare for the unexpected. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to connect, learn, and return to your community with actionable resources.
We are also excited to announce that thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, the $89 conference registration has been discounted so that you can participate at no cost.
NEW: EJH Lightning Talks
Lightning Talks are short presentations that focus on key points related to a subject matter. Done well, they are a great way to get your point across in a short amount of time. These talks will highlight community-driven solutions addressing environmental injustice and healthcare disparities, showcasing initiatives in research, programming, and policy. Participants will have opportunities for education and open discussions on recent findings in environmental health, healthcare equity, climate, and energy use. We especially invite early career professionals and students to submit posters for Lightning Talks.
